 OMELETTE PRODUCTION
LINE
A number of Omelette production lines have been set
up to produce large numbers of omelettes, which are then either
frozen or chilled before packing for subsequent re-heating.
We can design, manufacture and install omelette
lines to suit any level of production. The smallest and simplest of
these is a very basic manually operated line comprising an oven, a
small loading conveyor and a tin return conveyor. This type of line
is suited for a small production rate of 500-1000 omelettes per hour
and would require a staffing level of between 3 and 6 depending on
whether or not the finished omelettes need to be folded.
We can manufacture completely automated lines that
include multi-head depositors, automatic loading of the tins into
the oven, automatic oiling of the tins, automatic de-tinning and
folding conveyors. This type of line is suitable for producing
larger quantities of omelettes.
All lines whether the smallest manual line right up
to a fully automised line incorporate a Frampton conveyor oven.
These have extended inlet conveyors to enable tins
to be automatically filled on the conveyor to prevent needless
handling. The tins are then conveyed through the baking chamber by
the conveyor belt. A typical baking time is 6 minutes. At the exit
of the oven the omelettes are tipped out of the tins and the hot
tins are then returned to the inlet end of the oven where they are
oiled and refilled. A system such as this enables high volume and
very consistent production using unskilled labour.
